PRSA Houston: 2021 Chapter Leadership Recruitment Process Open

Dear Fellow PR Professionals,

Serving on the PRSA Houston board is a great way to develop your leadership skills and contribute to the organization’s future success. PRSA Houston invites those members who are interested in becoming more involved in the chapter to consider running for one of the following open board positions:
 - President-Elect
 - Vice President
 - Secretary
 - Treasurer
 - Four (4) Board of Directors positions

While board service is a volunteer role, a great deal of personal commitment is required to fulfill the role effectively. Being present for the chapter is important. Board members are required to participate in all board meetings, our annual Excalibur Awards gala and PR Day event. In addition, board members are also asked to commit to raising a minimum of $500 in support of the chapter (including in-kind support such as print vendors, etc.)

The Nominating Committee will accept submissions for the open positions until Sept. 25, 2020. The PRSA Houston Nominating Committee includes Elise Hasbrook, APR, Trazanna Moreno, APR and Terri Larson, APR, and is chaired by Immediate Past President Isidro Reyna, APR. Once the nominees are posted to the chapter's website and the chapter membership is notified of the nominees, additional nominations will be accepted for 10 days.

The results of the election will be announced on Oct. 28, 2020, at the chapter's Virtual Annual Meeting.

In order to be considered as a candidate for one of the open positions, you must be a current member of PRSA Houston. To review the description of each position as stated in the PRSA Houston Chapter Bylaws, Article III, please click here -

Interested candidates are asked to complete the online application by Sept. 25, 2020. Please attach a headshot and professional bio to be used on the election ballot. Your bio should include a statement about why you are interested in serving on the PRSA Houston board of directors and how your experience and skills will bring value to PRSA Houston.

Please contact Isidro Reyna, APR, with any questions at [email protected].
