COMMUNICATING THROUGH THE CHAOS OF COVID-19

2020 will be marked in history as the year the world changed. Businesses moved to telecommute, schools sent students home to learn virtually, and the public isolated themselves as the crisis grew to a global pandemic. With rapidly changing news and information, our local hospitals served as not only necessary first responders, but also trusted experts to provide critical information to the public. Amid the chaos of COVID-19, effective communication strategies helped break through the noise and provide accurate and necessary information when our communities needed it the most.

Join PRSA Houston for a live webinar on May 13 with Memorial Hermann’s Director of External Communications George Kovacik and Director of Internal Communications Kristine Verrill. They’ll discuss the importance of an integrated communications plan to inform both the employees and the public.

Key takeaways from the webinar include:

  • How to identify and promote well-respected experts early

  • How to establish key messages to be used internally and externally and repeat them often

  • How to maintain trust when information is constantly changing

  • How to show support to frontline workers
