DIVERSITY STATEMENT

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee of PRSA Houston strives to provide resources and industry growth opportunities to its members of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, those with sexual orientation and gender differences and people with disabilities, to ultimately create a more inclusive public relations profession.

Committee members meet to discuss and strategize ways we can increase diversity. Our goal is to have year-round activities focused on diversity and inclusion in the field of PR. In continuing this goal, committee members and the chapter’s leadership have planned an annual diversity luncheon. In addition, we acknowledge the different backgrounds of our membership through chapter social media accounts, newsletter articles, website posts, and monthly membership messaging.

The PRSA Houston Diversity & Inclusion Committee is devoted to building consciousness by increasing visibility of D&I standards.

Our 2026 theme, Bold Voices, Lasting Impact, reflects the heart of PRSA Houston and the direction we are headed together. Bold voices communicate with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
